My Husband left us with evivtion notice,broke down car no money

Someone please help me about 6months ago my husband started changing became very mean and nasty to both the kids and me. He left on new years eve to go to Walmart and showed up the next day saying he wanted to better his life but the kids and I where holding him back and he wanted better for his self he said some nasty things and walked out of our lives we had 20 days to be out of our house and my car was broke down and had no money. So I packed up what I could and our three kids and is staying at my sisters house I just got a job last Friday and I really need so help in get a house and a relible car I only make 6.00 an hour my kids our 5,4,2 . I've never been in this problem before and I don't know what to do If some one could help I would be so gratefull Thank You so much and may God Bless You! Christy
